Gilberto is a passionate, first-generation attorney dedicated to advocating for the Latino community and providing excellent representation for his Spanish-speaking and English-speaking clients.

Gilberto graduated from UTEP with a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science, where he developed a thorough understanding of our legal system and policy-making. Motivated to further his impact, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. During his time in Alabama, Gilberto served as president of the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA), leading initiatives to support Latino law students and increase awareness of issues affecting the Latino community. He also gained valuable legal experience as a summer clerk for the Honorable Justice Gina M. Palafox at the Eighth Court of Appeals in El Paso, where he sharpened his research and analytical skills. After graduating law school, he returned home to El Paso.

Now, as an associate attorney at Salcedo & Company, Gilberto focuses on a range of legal areas, including Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family Law, Trusts and Estates Litigation, Probate, Real Estate Law, and Appellate Law. His leadership in LALSA, combined with his hands-on experience and commitment to his clients, fuels his mission to make the legal system more accessible to underrepresented communities. To serve these communities, Gilberto uses his dual-language skills to advise, guide, and help his Spanish-speaking clients resolve their complex legal issues and disputes.
